It is absolutely wonderful that you have Kassie Barteau on your radio program!
Her whole family have just been an inspiration. The fact that Kassie has worked so hard without a wealthy parent is just SOO cool and inpirational for all the rest of us!
I met Kassie and Yvonne several years ago when we were all stabled at Anne Gribbons farm. As soon as they arrived with a slew of horses, one could see their unbelievable work ethic. Really, they started at 7am and finished up at around 6pm.
The best part was their positive, no messing around, absolutely no gossiping or bad behavior as one comes across with all those vying for Anne’s attention – By the way, Anne deals with it SOO awesomely.
Kassie’s riding even then just was amazing and I often asked her about her aides for one thing or another and she and Yvonne really would have a great biomechanical discussion with me, even with the fact that I was not riding with them.
They truly are special and I soooo hope you continue to have Kassie – and please be sure to ask her questions that parallel her with the rest of us who are struggling in our learning on a budget. Besides hard work, she gives a mean definition on any Dressage movement.
