I loved your interview with Lee Cullen. There are so many of us who are accountants by day and dressage wantabes by night. It is nice to hear that others are in the same boat. I would love to hear more interviews with or about adult amatuers who are just in the sport for the love of it and may never get past 1st level. Of course maybe with Heather’s training tips we will!

Would love to hear an interview with Jules Nyssen. I haven’t looked in a while, but the last time I did a search on the US national dressage scores, he came up as a consistent high-scorer.

Again, I want to put forward a request to have discussions on breeding, in particular, what is the difference between the quality of the horses accepted in the European breed organizations vice the US national ones. I know lots of ‘back-yard’ breeders and I would probably be in that category as well. I see most of the others are swept along with the latest advertising promo for a stallion, and not so much trying to ‘design’ for a result. I hear from some that it truely is hit-or-miss, and that I am wasting my time looking at pedigrees and studing temperments and performance. So what is it? Luck, or planning?

So, you finally have a foal, how do you know if it is going to be a dressage prospect, vice, jumper or eventer? All of the in-hand shows are quite different. How realistic is a score from them, anyway?

Is anyone keeping track so that we can have a national database of American horses breeding, which is BIG business in Europe.

Europe is starting to buy from us now. How can we market to them?

Who trains you be become a handler for the in-hand shows? There seems to be a shortage, especally in eventing which is just now promoting their new Future Eventing Horses program.
